Britney spears - Toxic video Representation

3 questions
Who is being represented? How are they being represented? Is it a positive or negative representation?

- Britney spears is being represented;
As an air hostess, young females of a certain area of society.
- No profound race. Making a sort of unity between the women.
The body language is very flexible and fast, action; this goes along with the sound.

-Represented in a sexual way
- the dance form and revealing, plastic clothing are over exaggerated, cutting fast yet again emphasising action and movement, exaggerating it.

It is a negative representation for women in general as this gives the audience a feeling that women should be this way, however there is a positive representation of confidence and for women of Britneys shape and fitness to show what they have.

Personal response:
I feel that this video is a very negative representation of women in general, damning us as evil, spying freaky sexual vampires. This is making a bad influence on the younger generation, as this will make them feel as if this is how they should 'dress to impress'; establishing an 'positive' impression by wearing ridiculously tight and revealing clothing, when in fact wearing such appalling stuff will give you a reputation, lasting longer than that of the clothes you wear; A sexually frustrated, skimpy, man handler.
It's not fair for a younger audience, watching, to want to be Britney when they are visually deceived as the music and video is all edited, all airbrushed. However on those who are deceived heavily by this would feel great confidence, or so they say, but who would get confidence from a skinny woman, who is made to be profoundly prettier and skinnier than everyone else and prancing around with various different men in most sections of the video.
